Purpose: Top-level entity and organizational unit for all Hub resources. Relevant Personas: CoE Lead, CoE Admin, CoE Developer

Summary

An Organization is the highest-level entity in Camunda Hub. It acts as the root unit under which all other entities live — workspaces, clusters, the catalog, and the people who use them.

An organization in Hub represents an organizational unit of Camunda enterprise customer organization, that can be the whole organization, child institution, or division.

Every resource in the Hub belongs to an organization. Workspaces give teams their own space to work. Clusters provide the runtime environments where automations execute. The Catalog offers a governed library of reusable assets. And Organization Members — users, groups, and roles — define who can access what.

Organizations are managed by users holding Organization roles, most commonly the Organization Owner and Organization Admin. Clusters are provisioned at this level but can be selectively assigned to individual workspaces, and the catalog here is curated with a formal approval workflow — distinct from the workspace-level catalog that developers browse day-to-day.
